Aquamania Swimming, is a great programme to prepare youngsters for future swimming by providing the skills necessary for reaching a good competitive level. It also provides a fun, but busy job, for young adults in the summer months.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Aquamania Swimming Ltd will resume classes in MAY 2012. Information should be posted in March, 2012. (updated December 21st, 2011).

Our aim is to have as many children in Bermuda be as competent, safe and comfortable in the water as possible.

Lessons
We offer group lessons to children from 18 months of age, ranging in ability from non-swimmers to those needing stroke improvement, water safety and lifesaving techniques, as well as to children with special needs. We also offer 'mobile' private lessons.
The student / teacher ratio is excellent with all non-swimmers and beginners taught in pairs or one on one. The more advanced swimmers may be in a group of 6 to 8.

Awards
Our awards scheme follows that of the STA, the Swimming Teachers Association in the UK, which is a charity founded in 1932 with the primary objective of "preserving lives by teaching swimming, lifesaving and survival techniques".
For many years, the STA has operated as an incentive-based swimming skills scheme - the STA International Awards - which we have used locally for the last 15+ years.
As part of the STA's commitment to improving the standard of swimming teaching & water safety world wide, it has developed the International Swimming & Water Safety Standards (ISWSS). There are SEVEN schemes - or series - within the ISWSS.

If you would like to know more about the ISWSS schemes, please visit the STA's website and look for the ISWSS Badge Scheme - Learn to Swim section.
